Regardless, ION is quite a unique spin on classic pre-workout supplements, at least when it comes to delivery. What do we mean by this? In contrast to most standard pre-workout products which have a predictable method of ingredient absorption and delivery, PERFORMIX ION uses a “multiphasic bead nutrient delivery system” which helps with supplying your body with two waves of ingredients during your workout session. This means that halfway through your session be prepared to experience a second surge of stimulants and other associated ingredients. Great idea? Absolutely! However, we do not fully love the fact that all ingredients are lumped into a proprietary blend, making it difficult to determine exactly how much we are getting. ION is moderately balanced, containing a performance booster in the form of beta alanine, citrulline for muscle pumps, and a slew of stimulant-nootropic ingredients. Not a bad option when trying to mix things up or if you’re tired of the same old and want to see if this product would deliver anything different. On a final note, if you work out in the evening you need to be careful when taking ION, as the staggered approach to nutrient delivery is likely to mean extended times before the compounds are cleared from your body-and a greater likelihood of insomnia.
As a dietary supplement, adults mix 1-2 scoops with 8 oz of water 20-30 minutes prior to workout. Start with one scoop or less to assess your tolerance. Do not take more than 2 scoops daily. This product should not be taken in combinations with other products containing caffeine or stimulants. Some individual may experience a harmless tingling and skin flush which are attributed to the beta alanine and niacin in the product. Do not take within 6 hours of bed time. Prior to each use, shake container vigorously to ensure evenly dispersed beads.
